Join us under the stars at Folktale Winery & Vineyards for Redwood Nights: Storytelling, an unforgettable evening of live storytelling hosted and created by award-winning NPR storyteller Don Reed!

Featuring acclaimed storytellers from NPR, The Moth, HBO, PBS, Broadway, and beyond, Redwood Nights brings together some of the best voices in live storytelling for an evening of true stories that will make you laugh, surprise you, move you, and stay with you long after the night is over!

Set among the vineyards at Folktale, this is storytelling in its most intimate and authentic form. No screens, no distractions, just a great story, a live audience, and the unexpected connection that happens when we recognize a little bit of ourselves in someone else’s experience. Come settle in, look up at the stars, and let yourself be transported by the power of a true story.

Don Reed is an NPR Snap Judgment Storyteller of the Year and a newly minted Simon & Schuster author. A longtime opening act for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, he has appeared on HBO and Comedy Central and created the acclaimed Redwood Nights: Storytelling Under the Stars. His award-winning solo shows blend humor, heart, and unforgettable true stories.

Kristen Cosby is an award-winning writer, editor, educator, and performer whose work has appeared in literary journals, magazines, and anthologies. A Pushcart Prize special mention recipient and Normal Prize in Nonfiction winner, Kristen brings her literary voice to the stage with stories that are smart, intimate, and deeply human.

Tanna Samone Hall is a Bay Area-born storyteller, comedian, educator, artist, and former firefighter/EMT/Lieutenant. A host of The Moth San Francisco and a community correspondent for Oakland Voices, Tanna uses humor and personal storytelling to connect people and build community. She is also the host and producer of Comedy Q Bay Area.

JP Frary is an Alameda-based sculptor, furniture designer, woodworker, and 13-time Moth StorySLAM winner who discovered his talent for live storytelling after age 50. A resident storyteller with Redwood Nights, JP brings a unique blend of wit, wisdom, and lived experience to the stage.
