Celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 10th, with an unforgettable night of laughter because moms deserve more than just brunch, presented by the legendary San Francisco Comedy Competition, featuring headliner Kara Klenk, Samson Koletkar, and Candy Shaw!
Sip, snack, and laugh your way through the night with a concession bar offering wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options, plus small culinary bites paired with the show.

Kara Klenk is a stand-up comic, writer, and actor who got her start in New York City and now calls Los Angeles home. She was named one of Time Out New York’s Top 10 Funniest Women in NYC, and once you see her, you’ll understand why. She’s appeared on Netflix, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, Oxygen, and Hulu, and has written for Netflix, Hulu, MTV, Paramount, and Comedy Central. Most recently, she’s brought her comedic chops to RuPaul’s Drag Race (VH1) and Wipeout (TBS).
Samson Koletkar, aka Mahatma Moses, named one of Silicon India’s “10 Indian Comedians Who Found Success in the U.S.,” has performed at major festivals like SF Sketchfest and Just for Laughs Vancouver, with features on NPR and NBC. He’s also earned recognition in top competitions, including the Seattle International Comedy Competition.
Candy Shaw (née Churilla) began her comedy career studying improv with Chapel Hill, NC’s Actors Improv Theater while also performing in scripted projects. After producing and starring in her play “Sex, Drugs, and Dinner,” she moved to the Bay Area. An improv friend encouraged her to try standup at San Francisco’s legendary BrainWash Cafe open mike. She kept performing and appeared on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and placed 3rd in California’s Funniest Female Contest. She has opened for Mark Curry, Will Durst, Bobcat Goldthwait, Marga Gomez, Ms. Pat, Rob Schneider, and Tom Segura.
